Weekly Transits – 8/12/2024

This week is sure to make headlines leading up to the 8/19 Full Moon (but let’s not get ahead of ourselves).

On the 14th, Mars meets up with Jupiter the same day Mercury re-enters Leo. This conjunction can be a very physical transit, however it’s occurring in Gemini 17, a very mental degree with a Sabian Symbol related to rational, mature persuasion. And with Gemini’s ruler Mercury re-entering Leo, our minds and bodies may both feel hyper-energized as if we finally discovered the secret sauce that will win us the gold. Stay committed to optimism and remember to stretch before sprinting towards your goal!

On the 15th, the Sun makes a lovely trine to Chiron from a degree related to what we most keenly focus on – may healing flow to where your attention goes under the influence of this transit!

Over the weekend, Mars squares Saturn on the 16th and Uranus squares the Mercury/Sun cazimi on the 18th (energies prominent in Monday’s Full Moon). Collectively, I expect we’ll be receiving some surprising news and witnessing the rapid restructuring of the sociopolitical landscape with creative new solutions for the future.

Personally, the Mars/Saturn square will have us reconciling the parts of ourselves that want to remain solitary vs draw in a larger audience with our talents. It’ll be important to establish healthy boundaries and reflect on how much attention is necessary before exerting your will.

Mercury’s cazimi occurs in the 27th degree of Leo which has the Sabian Symbol “Daybreak” – this Uranus square Sun/Mercury could suddenly bring us creative and liberating new solutions to long-held problems.

And while it doesn’t perfect until Monday’s Full Moon, we’ll be feeling the buildup to the Jupiter/Saturn square all week. This is the first major checkin for the 2 social planets since their Great Conjunction on the 2020 winter solstice in Aquarius 1 (An Old Adobe Mission, my fav Sabian 🥰) making this a pivotal week for reconciling any extremes that hinder our personal and collective shift towards a better future.
