This week holds beautifully auspicious astrology and a much needed boost of positivity after a crunchy Mars-heavy Full Moon week.

On Monday, 8/11, Mercury stations direct! During this standstill, Saturn and Uranus perfect their second of 3 powerful closing sextiles. This aspect can bring progress, insights and clarity into what old structures are falling away and what new, innovative ways of being are propelling us forward.

And on Tuesday, just after midnight Central time (so late Monday for my West coast fam), Venus and Jupiter bless us with their annual conjunction! Some call this benefic duo meetup the luckiest transit of the year. This new cycle between the planet of our values, self-worth and relationships and the planet of growth and expansion begins in Cancer 15, a Sabian about a group of people who have overeaten and enjoyed it. This is the kind of astrology meant to make us feel good. And while we may treat ourselves to some well-deserved splurges as these energies mix, we may also be called to consider the role indulgence/over-indulgence plays in our lives.

On Thursday, as Mercury slowly gains speed in Leo, it makes a sextile with Mars in Libra which will be active for about a week. As Mercury picks up speed, it’ll overtake Mars’ degree and perfect the sextile again on Monday 8/18. This uniquely long sextile will provide a much needed boost to our ability to initiate projects and take action on new ideas.
