This week we have a forward-moving Mercury, Venus entering her home sign of Taurus (Monday) and Mars entering his home sign of Aries (Tuesday). With these shifts of the personal planets, I expect us to feel more at ease, and have more clarity and/or momentum on paths forward.
Pluto is the key player in all the exact aspects this week. The planet of transformation, repatterning and rebirth is making a square to Venus in Taurus on Tuesday, stationing retrograde on Thursday and then making an easy sextile to Mars in Aries on Friday.
All these aspects occur in the 3rd degree of Aquarius which has the Sabian Symbol “A deserter from the navy”. The square to Venus in Taurus 3 (“Steps up to a lawn blooming with clover”) may have us transforming something significant related to our finances with a backdrop of refusing to comply with unacceptable authority and determination to find a solution for self-fulfillment. Friday’s sextile to Mars in Aries 3 (“A cameo profile of a man in the outline of his country”) may bring an awakened ambition for how we can live more supportively in community with others.
Pluto stationing retrograde on May 2nd is an event of collective importance that those with planets/points in the first 3 degrees of the fixed signs (Aquarius, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio) will feel most potently. The Lord of the Underworld is stationing in a degree focused on the very Plutonian theme of the uses and abuses of power. It will journey back over Aquarius 2 (An unexpected thunderstorm) and Aquarius 1 (An old adobe mission – my favorite 😉) throughout the summer – revisiting all the glimpses we’ve gotten to date into how Pluto in Aquarius will transform the collective over the next 20 years. On its last retrograde in our lifetimes back into Capricorn (it’ll be there from 9/1-11/19), we’ll be getting final reminders of the lessons learned since 2008 – the era of Pluto in the Saturn-ruled, diligent cardinal earth sign of traditional structures.
What will we be leaving permanently behind to support our evolutionary growth? Pluto is sure to reveal this.
