Vertex

The Vertex is a calculated point in an astrology chart representing the westernmost point on the Ecliptic where it intersects the Prime Vertical. It's sometimes referred to as "a second descendant". The Vertex is most important to consider when it's activated by transit, progression or aspect in a chart (e.g. my Vertex is exactly conjunct my Pluto) and it has themes of destined or fateful events, karmic connections.
