Taurus New Moon

Tuesday’s New Moon correspondence guide paints a lovely supportive picture for a more stable, secure and equitable future – even if we aren’t seeing it anywhere but in our mind’s eye at this time.

It takes place in one of my favorite decans of the zodiac (my Moon’s decan) – decan 2 of Taurus is ruled by the High Priestess (The Moon Tarot card), and holds the slow and steady energy of the Knight of Pentacles and the secure and generous energy of the 6 of Pentacles. Other majors at play for this New Moon include the divinely guided Hierophant (Taurus’ card) and the lavishly abundant and fertile Empress (Venus rules and just entered her home sign of Taurus).

Taurus 19 (A newly formed continent) is the 4th (Technique/Method) Sabian of the “Awakening” 5-degree expression. This Sabian teaches us we can create entirely new realities through pure receptivity. Be open to RECEIVING all you need and desire this New Moon – a new reality is emerging, even if it may seem slightly obscured from our vision at this time – the High Priestess energy reveals things in divine timing. Trust is required.

On the I Ching side, this New Moon takes place in Line 6 of Hexagram 2 (The Receptive) – Earth over Earth. This line holds a distinct warning against over identification with ego, pride, domination – those who stay true to their inner divine nature will succeed in their endeavors, but those with an over-reliance on domination, greed or power-over are sure to find misfortune. Don’t be surprised to hear more and more news of exposed corruption and fallen leaders emerge over the coming moon cycle, trust your intuition and stay true to divine guidance at this time.
