Monthly Transits – July 2025

July brings a break in the constant tension that permeated June, sees Uranus enter Gemini for the first time since 1941 and hosts a self-expressive Mercury retrograde and New Moon in Leo.

On July 4th, Venus conjuncts Uranus in the anaretic degree of Taurus before entering Gemini and Neptune stations retrograde in Aries. Surprises are likely to occur with this dynamic mix of energies.

The start of the Full Moon in Capricorn week has Uranus entering Gemini in 7/7 – this once in 84-year transit occurs the same day Venus trines Pluto, upping the transformative factor of this important shift for the collective. The Great Awakener will station retrograde in early September and re-enter Taurus on 11/7, permanently entering Gemini for the next ~8 years on 4/25/2026. 

Uranus in Taurus over the past 8 years has been shaking our steady foundations to the core, creating upheaval in our values, financial systems and the natural environment. As it journeys through Gemini, we can expect revolutionary breakthroughs and significant technological advancements in communication, travel, information sharing, and education.

Mid-month, there’s a refreshing break in transits as Mercury stations retrograde on the 17th until Aug 11th. Mercury stations in Leo 16 – Sunshine just after a storm – a lovely degree related to new beginnings, renewal and revival. Mercury in Leo is a self-expressive, confident and passionate Mercury – use this time to refresh and rejuvenate and rediscover what makes you light up.

Leo season begins on the 22nd followed by the 7/24 New Moon in Leo 3 – a degree focused on nonconformity and self-expression, and an opposition to Pluto the following day. The seeds we’re planting this New Moon are sure to have extra transformative powers.
