A crowd at the starting blocks

April starts with a Libra Full Moon that shines a spotlight on childish behavior and necessary course corrections that require a mature balance of persistence and patience. The first part of April may feel slower and stickier than a typical Aries season. After Aries’ ruler Mars enters his domicile on 4/9 and Mercury clears its retrograde shadow 4/10 and enters Aries on 4/14, the fog will have finally cleared.

By mid-month, the Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Chiron, Saturn and Neptune all converge in Aries, and this crowd of planets has the potential to fuel our courage and build momentum towards entirely new realities. The New Moon on 4/17 is conjunct Chiron. And while it may trigger our core wounds around the difficulty of new beginnings, painful cycles and disappointing outcomes, it’s meant to remind us of our tenacity, courage and ability to seize opportunities and detach from expectations as we scramble to initiate paradigm shifts.

After 4/20, both Mars and Mercury will have passed by Saturn and our impulses are redirected with necessary boundaries into long-term plans and strategies. As the month comes to a close, Uranus completes its nearly 8-year journey through Taurus on 4/25, and with its entrance into Gemini, a. burst of new information will spur collective momentum.
