Mars Conjunct Uranus
Monday’s Mars/Uranus conjunction is likely already being felt with this transit’s intensity magnified by the recent Venus/Pluto opposition and the fixed star Algol (head of Medusa) which sits at 26°30′ Taurus (Mars will conjunct Algol right after its conjunction with Uranus). This “triple conjunction” closes the books on the last Mars/Uranus cycle that began on 8/1/2022 when they were conjunct each other AND the North Node in Taurus 19. While it’s easy to fear Algol (and Mars/Uranus combos 😂), the correspondences associated with this conjunction foretell of a 2-year cycle of rebuilding, new starts, the rising feminine and prevailing intelligence and calm wisdom inherited from the lessons of past Tower moments.
The Tarot Majors at play include The Tower (Mars) and The Fool (Uranus), the Hierophant (Taurus) a spiritual leader who can represent institutions, The Empress (Venus, Taurus’ ruler) who embodies earthly abundance, security and the divine feminine, The World (Saturn as ruler of Taurus decan 3) which holds the energy of beginnings and endings and all 4 fixed signs (most impacted by this transit). The decan Tarot trio (The World, King of Swords and 7 of Pentacles) speak of intentionally pausing, assessing the returns we’ve had on our efforts, closing chapters that are ready to end and confidently moving forward in our truth and gained wisdom.
The I Ching hexagram is 8 (Holding Together) – Water over Earth, Line 2 which alternates to Hexagram 29 (The Abysmal) – Water over Water. These symbols also speak of focus, perseverance, being clear on purpose before asking for support from others, taking small, steady steps to guide yourself out of any abyss, and awakening.
The Sabian Symbol Taurus 27 (An old native woman selling beads) speaks of an attunement to the wisdom of elders, has Rudhyar’s keynote: “Peaceful adaptation to collective needs” and will hopefully help to dampen the more violent and destructive expressions of this transit.
May sound wisdom steer our ambitions towards a liberating, more secure, and abundant future!
