Cancer New Moon

This lunation cycle begins with a stark warning against forcing your will on others and is likely to bring necessary readjustments after some difficult lessons. Rewards this cycle come through honoring our feelings and tapping into stillness.

Tarot correspondences include The Chariot (Cancer), The High Priestess (The Moon, Cancer’s ruler), The Empress (Venus rules Cancer’s first decan) the Queen and 2 of Cups. The Sun & Moon sit in Hexagram 52 (Keeping Still), Line 1, which advises remaining innocent, quiet and detached.

Hex 52 relates to self-mastery and future gains through inaction, stillness and silence in the present. Like Hex 23 which was activated in May’s Scorpio Full Moon @bellwen notes Hex 52 is also one of only four hexagrams linked to the omen of the Qilin—a mythical creature that portends a transformative change in leaders. “Hex 52 can portend a great awakening or epiphany, but one that is contingent upon the seeker heeding the counsel of Hex 52’s lines” Line 1 speaks of “feet at rest…undertaking a journey without a single step…by intending to maintain the status quo, you shall advance and attain what you seek.” 

52.1 changes Hex52 to Hex22 (Grace), which speaks of beginning a journey as a humble apprentice and the renunciation of luxuries once depended on.
