Aquarius Full Moon

Sun/Moon/Uranus T-Square, Venus/Jupiter/Saturn T-Square

This Aquarius Full Moon shines a clear spotlight on leadership, requiring that we reconcile and balance intelligent foresight, preparation, and patience before taking measured action when faced with a flurry of possibilities.

Occurring at the start of the DNC, the Full Moon is sitting directly on the USA’s Moon (Aqu28 Sabian: A tree felled and sawed), right next to VP Harris’ Saturn in Aquarius 29 (A butterfly emerging from a chrysalis). Venus during this full moon sits in Pisces 18 (A Ouija board) – a highly intuitive degree which also happens to be host to Kamala’s natal Venus! To say the cosmos aligned perfectly for this moment would be an understatement.

And with Uranus, the Great Awakener, directly square this Full Moon and Venus sitting in a t-square with Jupiter and Saturn who are making their first pivotal square since the Dec 2020 Great conjunction in Aquarius 1 (mission!), I expect this Full Moon to reverberate widely across the collective as a critical, and likely surprising turning point toward a more stable, sustainable, and joyful future.

The Tarot majors for this double-t-square infused Full Moon include The Star (Aquarius), The High Priestess (Moon sits in its own decan), The Sun (rules Leo), Strength (Leo), The Tower (Mars) and The Fool/The World (co-rulers of Aquarius). With Venus and Uranus in the mix, the Empress and The Fool are the stars of the show, infused with the leadership energy of ALL FOUR Kings and a focus on the 7s and 9s – numbers of assessment, measured action and intensity.

The Full Moon sits in Hexagram 30 (The Clinging), Line 3 while the Sun is in Hexagram 29 (The Abysmal), Line 3. These speak of the intensity of impending change or overwhelming circumstances. Both opposing double hexagrams advise that we release our fears/clinging, trust our intuition, find peace with letting go, stay calm and be in the flow.

Looking at Monday’s 2 powerful t-squares further underscores the need to protect your own energy while a reconciliation of extremes is underway: The t-squares of this Full Moon activate the 18th degrees of the mutable signs and the 28th degrees of the fixed signs. With the Cardinal signs not at play, we may be anticipating new starts, but finding ourselves still stuck in our current situations, wrestling with details and the need to be adaptable and flow with the process of change.

These “3rd expression degree” Sabians all relate to the reconciliation of polarities…and with these activations taking place in the middle of Mercury retrograde, revision is the name of the game.

The Sabians at play for the Venus/Jupiter/Saturn t-square include Venus in the highly intuitive “A Ouija board”, Saturn in the crowd-gathering “A gigantic tent” – how apropos for the start of the DNC – and Jupiter in self-reflective, soul-tribe focused “Two men talking in a foreign language”.

The “resolution” point for this t-square is found in the moon-ruled 2nd decan of Sagittarius, home to the King of Wands and wounded warrior 9 of wands. Sag18 – “Tiny children in sun hats” advises us to guard against overload, protect our energy and establish healthy boundaries. Similarly, Hex26, Great Taming, Line 1 reminds us that while we may hold great power, restraint is needed. It’s not the time to force a situation.

The Sabians at play for the Full Moon Square Uranus include the Moon in “A tree felled and sawed” – the USA’s natal moon degree about preparation and intelligent foresight, The Sun in “Many little birds on the limb of a large tree” – related to optimism, possibilities and opportunity, both squaring Uranus in “A woman pursued by mature romance” – a Sabian about second chances, new starts, especially those that may be “late in the game”. Expect a plot twist, just as we saw with the last Full Moon!

The resolution node for this t-square is found in the last, Venus-ruled decan of Scorpio, also home to the King of Wands and the spoiled-for-choice energy of the 7 of cups. Scorpio 28 – “The king of the fairies approaching his domain” teaches us that our relentless optimism can be contagious. Hex14, line 3 relates to prosperity/victory for the public servant and portends downfall for those driven purely by self-interest.
