As we emerge from the turning point, fixed grand cross, Mars/Pluto New Moon weekend, we enter completely new territory this first week of May.
Mercury has finally passed its retrograde shadow (as of 4/26), and will be speeding through Aries this week, entering Taurus next week and catching up with the Sun in Gemini by the end of May. Communications that may have been stalled over the last several months may start coming fast and furious throughout the coming weeks. May the grounding and slow-down work we did at the New Moon allow us to move forward from a place of renewed strength and wisdom.
The #piscespileup that defined much of the first part of this year is finally lessening, as Venus also leaves her exaltation and enters Aries Wednesday. The refreshed, fiery, driven Venus then meets up with Neptune in Aries 2 on Friday, the only major transit occurring this week. This transit is the 3rd in the series between Venus and Neptune given her recent retrograde, but it’s the first in our lifetimes in the sign of Aries. Completely new dreams, aligned more fully with our values, are emerging with this closing conjunction. Aries 2, “A comedian entertaining a group” is a degree that reminds us to hold both humor and humility as we take feedback from others and make necessary adjustments.
Pluto stations retrograde on Sunday, and will be retrograde until mid-October where it will station direct in Aquarius 2, An unexpected thunderstorm. This entire year, we are working with Pluto in the Sabian Expression of “Balance” – Aquarius’ first expression that begins with my namesake degree – An old adobe mission. We are transforming the very structures of everything around us to better align with our values, learning how to withstand and grow stronger from unexpected events, refusing to accept what is unacceptable and also centering our healing on a greater connection to spirit and the collective.
