“An influential person must take care to uphold proper principles, or misfortune occurs”

Aquarius and Uranian energies dominate this week as Mercury enters the sign of the Water bearer Monday then joins Pluto in “An unexpected thunderstorm” the same day of the New Moon in Aquarius 10, “A popularity that proves ephemeral”. The Mercury/Pluto conjunction is likely to bring to light some surprising hidden truths. Use this lunation cycle to scrutinize your own behaviors as well as what deserves your precious attention/reverence. Things that may have seemed too good to be true may be revealing themselves to be just that. Check out my New Moon correspondence guide for even more details!

Wednesday’s New Moon also begins the Lunar Year of the Wood Snake (the first since 1965), kicking off a significant year of growth and transformation. It’s a beautiful time to check in on any resolutions you may have made earlier this month, refine them and set realistic paths forward for your own well-being and personal growth.

Thursday, Uranus, the great awakener finally stations direct in Taurus 24 – a degree about channeling aggression safely and productively. That same day, we get the benefit of a Sun trine Jupiter transit that can boost our ability to rise above limitations, demonstrate true leadership and advocate for equality.

On Saturday, February begins with a Venus/Neptune conjunction in Pisces 28. This intense transit is magnified by the fact it’s also conjunct the North Node. At its best, this is a potent and inspired creative jolt of energy in a degree related to peak experiences, Mother Nature’s gifts and the realization that “Enough is a feast”. At its worst, this energy may have you feeling disillusioned or unaligned with your purpose/path. Deepen your gratitude practice and be wary of falling prey to any unrealistic expectations you may have of yourself or others at this time.
