Each sign holds 30° of the zodiac that can be split into three distinct 10° sections called decans (or decantes). Knowing which decans points are in opens the door to deeper understanding of their energies.
Chaldean rulers are based on the Golden Dawn system of correspondences which uses only "old planets" (prior to the discovery of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto).
Mars rules both the 1st and last decan of the zodiac. Rulers are assigned to the 36 decans in this order: Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury, Moon, Saturn, Jupiter.
adobe mission uses Chaldean rulers in its sign icons as they are used often in the tarot community.

Triplicity decan rulers (used often by astrologers) are assigned by giving the first decan the same ruler as the sign. The second and third decan rulers are the rulers of the next 2 signs that share its triplicity (element). In this way, all signs sharing an element have the same 3 decan rulers, just shifted.
adobe mission does not use triplicity decan rulers in its sign iconography.

Dane Rudhyar in his must have An Astrological Mandala: The cycle of Transformation and its 360 Symbolic Phases (A reinterpretation of the Sabian Symbols, presenting them as a contemporary American I Ching), split the Sabians into 24, 15-degree Scenes. Each scene contains a set of 3 repeating Levels as follows:
Scene
Degrees 1-5 Actional
Degrees 6-10 Emotional-Cultural
Degrees 11-15 Individual-Mental
Scene
Degrees 16-20 Actional
Degrees 21-25 Emotional-Cultural
Degrees 26-30 Individual-Mental
5-Degree Expression Pattern
Sabian Mysteries curator James Burgess assigns themes to each Expression Degree within the repeating pattern 5-degree groups of Sabian symbols as follows:
I Ching hexagram-astrological correspondences derived from Fu Xi's seasonal-based arrangement.
This same order is used by Human Design and Gate Keys practitioners.
Knowing which hexagram AND line is associated with a point gives you two hexagrams to study!
The hexagrams associated with this sign are shown below and when clicked the image will show each hexagram's line change detail.
I like to study point's individual hexagram, then study its specific line (your Human Design chart will give you this), then study its evolved/changed hexagram pair (if that line changes from yin to yang or vice versa, a new hexagram is formed).
There are so many ways to work with the I Ching and this association is just one such way.
