Daily Transits – March 8-9, 2024

Mercury Conjunct Neptune, Mars Square Uranus, Sun Sextile Uranus

This 2-part post shows the Sabian and Tarot influences associated with the Mercury conjunct Neptune (Friday) and Mars square Uranus + Sun sextile Uranus transits (Saturday). These transits infuse Sunday’s New Moon with some intense and thought-provoking energies about abundance and fulfillment making them great transits for formulating intentions as we enter Aries/eclipse season later this month.

Mercury/Neptune meet first in Pisces 28 (A fertile garden under the full moon). It’s a good moment to really sit still with the ideas you hold about abundance in your life. This occurs in the final decan of the zodiac – associated with the 10 of cups, Queen of Wands and the Tower (Mars). It’s a great time to reconcile your hopes and dreams into clear intentions. Burgess summarizes this degree as “Enough is a feast”.

Mars squares Uranus – still in Taurus 20 (Wind, clouds and haste) from Aquarius 20 (A big white dove, a message bearer). Spiritually powerful messages may burst forth – don’t be quick to pre-judge this “hard” aspect in a negative light – it could bring an uncomfortable “ah ha” moment or unexpected clashing of wills/motivations that may spark a bigger awakening/fresh start. And just 6 minutes later, the Sun makes its easy sextile to Uranus from Pisces 20 (A table set for an evening meal) – pulling focus again to our abundance and nourishment. Mars and the Sun also make a Semi-square (potential through a bit of discomfort).

Mars is in Aquarius decan 2, associated with The Magician, the hasty Knight of Swords and the 6 of swords (moving out of troubled waters). The Sun sits in Pisces decan 2, associated with the Wheel of Fortune, 9 of cups (more themes of fulfillment, having all you need) and the emotionally mature King of Cups. Uranus is working with both of these personal points from decan 2 of Taurus associated with the intuitive High Priestess, the slow and steady Knight of Pentacles, and the 6 of pentacles.
