Weekly Transits – 2/19/2024

This week we see the start of Pisces season, a Venus/Mars conjunction (start of a new 2-year cycle for how our masculine/feminine energies relate to each other), and a full moon in Virgo. Oh - and Pluto changes degree into Aquarius 2 - An unexpected thunderstorm!

Personal Planets & Points

Highlights

The Mars/Venus conjunction on Thursday followed by the Pisces full moon on Saturday are the two headliners.

The rest of the week is pretty quiet transit-wise. The moon and sun are in water signs for the first half of the week, giving us time to feel our feelings and integrate what has been stirred up over the last several weeks.

The Mars/Venus conjunction is a once every ~2year event – and it’s happening this year in Aquarius 7 (Child born of an eggshell) – so we’ve got the personal planets of archetypal masculine and feminine energies uniting to create a child that breaks all norms. And right before the full moon!

The day of the full moon also has Mercury moving into Pisces and Venus squaring Jupiter, now at 11 degrees of Taurus.

Social / Outer Planets

Highlights

Pluto moves into the 2nd degree of Aquarius (An unexpected thunderstorm) and out of the Old adobe mission Sabian spot. We probably won’t hear a lot of talk about outer planets this week as they’re making no exact aspects to other planets, but Pluto’s one degree shift is a move I think we’re going to feel.

Collectively, 2nd degree of Aquarius holds the energy of unexpected environmental changes and developments. Rudhyar’s keynotes are “Nature’s Challenge: The need to develop the inner security which will enable us to meet unexpected crises.”

Personally, I have my Venus in Aquarius 1 and Midheaven at Aquarius 2, so Pluto’s journey through this area of my chart has already initiated a deep transformation of my values, career path and professional ambitions which is energy I’ve been feeling deeply for over a year. Remember, Pluto made it’s first dip into Aquarius last March…and is not yet done with that last degree of Capricorn (secret business conference) or the old adobe mission.

Jupiter and Saturn, the 2 social planets continue their ~1 degree apart sextile dance this week in Taurus/Pisces. Jupiter moves into Taurus 11 (A woman sprinkling flowers), the start of the 9th Sabian Expression of Application while Saturn moves into Pisces 10 (An aviator in the clouds) finishing up the 74th Sabian expression of Integration.

The only transit with the personal planets occurs on Saturday when Jupiter squares Venus.
